Parking Support Team Volunteer

Patients and Visitors coming to the hospital are often in a state of anxiety, depending on the reason for their visit and quite often parking and its procedures are the last thing on their minds. We need people who have the right skills to support visitors and patients to understand our parking processes and help alleviate any unintentional stress that it may cause.

Are you able to provide information clearly for people as they arrive and on departing the grounds? This may include supporting patients and visitors to pay the correct fee at the machines across the hospital site, direct them to appropriate change machines and also when appropriate direct people to free spaces or alternative parking areas?

This opportunity will work closely with our Security Department.

Left on Monday 28th August 2017 for What Matters To Me - Conversation Facilitator (Warrington)

This was the inaugural session, attended by staff, board members, governors, staff and volunteers. We learned a lot from our first stab at it. I am definitely up for helping at future ones, not only to re-engage with patients and visitors but also, to put this learning into practice. I think the form needs reviewing to make the questions more user-friendly.
