Meet and Greet Volunteer - Warrington
Are you great at reading maps? Explaining directions? Could you help..
The hospital has hundreds of visitors each day, some of whom often find it difficult to navigate their way to the right place. The League of Friends provide a fantastic help desk at the front entrance that helps and assists people when they arrive and we need volunteers to compliment this service.
Working alongside the League of Friends Volunteers you will be stationed at strategic points across the hospital providing a "Happy To Help" service for those navigationally challenged. You may also need to escort those more vulnerable patients and visitors to the right ward or department.
This role is flexible between the hours of 8am and 8pm, seven days a week. Appropriate information will be provided prior to starting the role.

Left on Monday 28th August 2017 for What Matters To Me - Conversation Facilitator (Warrington)
This was the inaugural session, attended by staff, board members, governors, staff and volunteers. We learned a lot from our first stab at it.
I am definitely up for helping at future ones, not only to re-engage with patients and visitors but also, to put this learning into practice.
I think the form needs reviewing to make the questions more user-friendly.
